Bukhara – capital of the Islamic Culture
In April 2020, Uzbekistan will host an event “Bukhara – capital of the Islamic Culture in 2020”.
Preparations are underway for this important event. A delegation led by Director of Culture at ISESCO Najib Rhiati arrived in Tashkent to get acquainted with this process.
The Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Uzbekistan held a meeting of a working group with participation of the delegation and representatives of responsible organizations of Uzbekistan.
The dialogue took place in a sincere and friendly atmosphere. Views were exchanged on preparations for the upcoming event “Bukhara – capital of Islamic Culture in 2020” in Bukhara on April 14-17, 2020.
Deputy Minister of Culture Kamola Akilova noted that artisans and calligraphers of Uzbekistan will demonstrate an exhibition of samples of oriental crafts and calligraphy to representatives of the Islamic world, Uzbekistan representatives will attend a scientific-practical conference to be held in Samarkand and Bukhara.
Cultural Advisor to ISESCO Director General Abdelilah Benarafa proposed to include a visit to Imam al-Bukhari Mausoleum into the working program of the conference.
