Tashkent to host Global Textile Days
On September 9-14 this year, the Central Exhibition Complex “Uzexpomarkaz” in Tashkent will host a number of events within the framework of Global Textile Days Tashkent 2019.
A briefing was held at the Agency of Information and Mass Communications under the Administration of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan on practical significance of this event.
Chairman of Uzbekistan Textile Industry Association Ilkhom Khaydarov noted that the event is aimed at developing the country’s textile industry and acquainting potential investors with its achievements. An important guide in expanding the scope of this activity is the resolution of the Head of the state “On measures for further deepening reforms and expanding the export potential of the textile, sewing and knitting industry” of February 12, 2019.
It should be emphasized that in order to implement this document, Uzbekistan Textile Industry Association, together with ministries and agencies, developed the Global Textile Days Tashkent 2019 program. It reflects a single concept that has incorporated a number of measures aimed at developing the country’s textile industry.
Global Textile Days Tashkent, organized by Uzbekistan Textile Industry Association and Iteca Exhibition in conjunction with Ministries of Foreign Economic Relations, Investments and Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the Chamber of Commerce and Industry and a number of international organizations, are held for the first time in the country.
“Achievements and innovations of the textile industry, starting from the yarn manufacturing process to finished clothing and accessories, of the leaders of Central Asian countries and the world will be demonstrated at the Global Textile Days Tashkent 2019. The event will be attended by 160 companies from 10 countries such as Belarus, China, Germany, Latvia, Russia, Slovakia, Tajikistan, Turkey, Ukraine, Uzbekistan. This year, for the first time, representatives of cotton-textile cluster of Bukhara, Andijan and other regions, which are top-level integration manufacturers, will take part at the exhibition”, says Iteca’s CEO Nigora Khasanova.
Tashkent Textile Engineering Exhibition is also one of the significant events within the framework of the Global Textile Days Tashkent 2019. Achievements of sewing and textile equipment of China, Japan, the Republic of Korea, Poland, Portugal, and Turkey will be presented at the event.
Tashkent will also host a meeting of the Asian Cotton Research and Development Network, an international textile conference on “Digitalization of the textile industry – a step into the future”, as well as the opening ceremony of Uzbekistan – Korea Textile Technology Park.
Global Textile Days Tashkent will provide an opportunity to familiarize foreign partners with the achievements of the local textile industry, popularize local textile brands, demonstrate the investment and export potential of the sector.
